Chapter Thirty-Eight ღ
Every second that passed the guilt kept growing and growing. The thought of Eleanor the pain she was going through, and I was here with Louis and it was all wrong.
“You okay?” Diamond asked. She was back. We were all having lunch. Harry was still in his room, Louis was in there with him.
“Yeah fine” I say putting some more food in my mouth.
Diamond shrugged her shoulders and joined Niall at the couch. They snuggled up and started one of their many make out sessions.
“Hey there” I saw someone come in through the outdoor door.
“Matty!” I said as he hugged me.
“Party tonight?” he asked.
“Of course!” I said with a grin.
My phone vibrated. I nervously opened the text.
From; MOM <3
Hey sweetie how are you? Matty’s mom said you’ve been hanging out how cute! Make sure your sister makes nothing wrong, George has been really ontop of me, If he finds out I know something… I’ve been trying but he doesn’t see the goodness in those boys as I see. Well anyways, have a great time there. I love you sweetie pie.

I was relieved and disappointed it wasn’t El. I replied quickly.

MOM! Hey! Missing you like cray! Anyways Matt is like HUGE. I didn’t recognize him at first. I started surfing again. Mom, I was thinking, maybe, when I finish college, could I stay with the beach house? Its just something I was thinking of, we’ll talk about it later. Di has been behaving alright April and Char have come over. Oh and its like 8am there! Here its 2pm just finished lunch. Go to sleep woman! Love you!

I lock my phone, I was so nervous Eleanor called me up in the middle of the night there cause she couldn’t sleep and there was nothing I can do.
Louis walked in and smiled at me, but this time I didn’t smile back. He gave me a puzzled look. I pointed to the kitchen and he nodded.
“Louis, have you talked to El?” I asked, even though I knew the answer.
“No..” he sighs.
“She called me, a few hours ago” I say.
“That was like 4am there” he said.
“I know, she couldn’t sleep, she was up all night thinking about you..” I said.
“I think you should talk” I say.
“What for, she said some nasty stuff…” Louis said looking at his feet.
“What that you sing to hormonal teens instead of being with her, Louis, she misses you, of course she’ll freak out, she misses that perfect smile of yours, and everything about you” I said honestly.
“You think I have a perfect smile?” he asked.
“LOUIS!” I basically shouted “That isn’t the point!” I shout.
“Calm down! I was kidding, gosh! You girls are unbelievable” he said as he stormed out of the room.
“Louis! Come—oh forget it” I said under my breath.
I sit down on the kitchen chair and look at the clock, 15minutes till 3pm. Still no sign of Eleanor. Maybe she fell asleep, I just knew I was worried.
I make the decision to check on Harry.
I open the door carefully noticing that the only noises where the TV. He was fast asleep in his bed. All I felt like doing was cuddling up to him and hold him tight. Instead I measured his temperature. He was codling the covers like a baby, of course he was, his temperature was just above 37º. I woke him up slowly.
“Harry, wake up” I said barley shaking him.
“Mmm” he groaned.
“You got a temperature” I say. “again” I add.
“You want me to take my shirt off again?” he asked.
“Just let me take your covers out first” I said as I gently pulled the covers down.
“Its cold Hope” he said with a face full of pain.
“I know but you have too” I said as if I were talking to a baby.
“Please just hold me?” he asked.
“Uh-uh” I stuttered. No matter what my answer would be he pulled me and I landed right next to him. He was shivering like crazy. I hold him tight protecting him even though there was no harm around us. Even though he was sick he still managed to draw some circles with his thumbs on my arm, I missed him though we were in silence all this time. Harry eventually fell asleep and I was almost when my phone vibrated. I walk outside the room carefully and take my phone out-.
Caller ID:
El babe <3
“Hello?” I said immediately.
“Hope” she said,
“Babe I’m here” I said.
“I have the test thingy here” she said.
“I’m here” I repeat again.
Eleanor took a deep breath nad I could hear her in the background. A few moments later I heard her sob.
“El?” I called.
“H-Hope, it’s positive, and what am I going to do?” ahe said crying,
“I-I don’t know what to say” I stutter “I would fly but its new years they’re all full” I said.
“I-I have to go” Eleanor said and turned the call off.
I felt so bad, she had been through this all alone, and I was here with her boyfriend hitting on me.
—LATER THAT NIGHT— 11.55pm
“Five minutes guys!” Liam said excitedly.
“Get Harry!” Niall said.
“I’ll go!” Zayn said ecstatically. They were all so excited and all I did was sit on the couch motionless looking at the Tv, pretending I was watching it. Harry soon joined dressed up in his PJ’s and robe, looking rather comfortable. He shot me a smile though I look at him blankly.
“10-9” I heard the count down.
“8, Louis can I talk to you?” I asked.
7 “Yeah sure” he said.
6 “ I don’t know how to say this” I sigh,
5 “just say it” he said with a smile.
4 “Louis, I talked to El” I said 3 “and she told me something” 2 “She’s-she’s” 1 HAPPY NEW YEAR. “Pregnant!” I try to say over the noise.
“What?” he asked.
“ELEANOR IS PREGNANT!” I shout.
The room was silent. They all heard me.
Shit.
