It’s dark and there are people everywhere

All of her bags were packed, notices left, and she had left to do was leave. That alone proved difficult for the small brunette to accomplish. She found her feet glued to the floor in fear; in fear that this would all come back to bite her later, and leaving would ultimately serve no purpose at all. In one stumble-esque step she got the ball rolling, leaving the door behind her at a pace that would have been put into slow motion had she been in some epic film, the camera man sitting in the corner anticipating the heart wrenching scene where the girl leaves the guy in an emotional stride. But it wasn't. Unfortunately it was just life, Belle Mathers' to be exact.

While a piece of the curly haired boy felt entirely guilty for what he had just done, the other held a smug pride in himself for the achievement of the fit blonde he had managed to get into his bed the night before. Not that acquiring girls was ever a problem, that actually came pretty easily to him. The issue was keeping them, not that he generally wanted to anyway. The young man closed the door to the hotel room as gently as he could as he didn't want to the body of the sleeping woman in the tainted bed before turning on his heel. He walked as quickly as he could to the tour bus waiting in the back, in a failed attempt to go unnoticed to the inevitable variety of teenage girls waiting in various places for the group. All in a day of the life of Harry Styles.

The girl's blue-gold eyes scanned her surroundings, almost as if she was looking for danger, the slightest misstep of the people around her making her flinch. She was aware her reactions to things weren't normal, but she couldn't help it and she wouldn't let herself feel bad about it. She had her reasons, everybody does. At the sight of the taller red head rounding the corner of the airport baggage claim she plastered a smile on her face, hoping her friend wouldn't bring up the frantic phone call she had made only days ago. The phone call that brought her there, to Memphis, Tennessee in the midst of the One Direction North American wing of their tour. She wasn't there for them, no, she barely knew who was who when it came to them. She was there for the only friend she had ever made in high school, the friend who had unfortunately left her to brave the seaside halls alone when she got her record deal just the year before.

Kaitlyn Rose, the growing phenomenon in the United States, known for her flaming curls and infectious lyrics was opening for the boy band's sold out tour for the next six months. To Belle, the firecracker was just Kaitlyn, the friendly girl she had met in their ninth grade Geometry class who had a knack for words. Nothing more, nothing less. They were best friends from then on, to this day that fact amazed Belle, she had never been good with people and her low tolerance for bullshit played a huge part in that. Fortunately for Belle, Kaiti liked her honesty, it kept her out of loads of boy trouble. Belle had never been one to let you live in your world of fantasy with a guy who could care less about you, she would let you know despite how many acquaintances she lost due to her eye rolls and accidental laughter.

"Baby Belle!" The girl's arms were wrapped around the tinier girl within milliseconds of being at arm's length. "How are you? No wait don't answer that, I know. I'm sorry. Are you okay? Do you need anything? I'm sorry. I'm rambling, I know. I just missed you." The red head's mouth was moving faster than ever despite the fact that Belle was only catching bits and pieces. "I...I'm alive." Belle laughed, shrugging her shoulders. "I missed you too sweetheart, like you wouldn't believe. Can we not...?" The girl trailed off, hoping her friend would get the hint that she didn't want to get into or be babied about what she knew was wrong. "Oh. Yeah, yeah..."

Kait didn't seem to be wounded, but she backed off, staying quiet as they retrieved the brunette's bags and started toward their ride. "Belle...you know you'll have to talk about it sometime, right?" The singer asked gently, looking down at the girl from behind her ringlets as they settled into the cab. "But not today." The Texan joked lightly drawing out the 'today' singingly, trying to brush the subject off. The green eyed girl sighed noticeably, frustrated with her friend. Belle didn't blame her, she would be frustrated with her too but that didn't stop her from attempting to keep the conversation away from her. She just couldn't handle all the feelings that would come with that conversation.

"So..how are you, rockstar?" She grinned, knowing the telling of the stories of being on tour would distract her caring friend and relieve the tension. A wide grin fell onto her face, and all the little adventures she had experienced came rushing out of her mouth at an inhuman speed, causing Belle's own smile to brighten.

After getting past a group of excited girls who he had graciously took pictures with and signed things for, Harry made a bee line for the tour bus. Harry loved his fans, he really did but sometimes they were just so difficult. The fans they had managed to gain weren't much on taking no for an answer, and would do just about anything to get what they wanted despite the cost. He just wanted to get safely into the bus without having to take another round of pictures upon just waking up. Not a single person in this world should be subjected to that sort of embarrassment; in his opinion anyway. Walking to the bus he noticed the clouds were sparse and the birds were chirping loudly, a signal it would be a nice day outside, something that was rare in his hometown. That was one thing he loved about touring.

The second he stepped onto the bus he was met with the shit eating grin of his best mate, Louis Tomlinson. The boy braced himself for what was to come out of that mouth of his, something everyone around would always be subjected to. He knew the older boy would have something to say about his late night entertainment, he always did. It didn't bother Hazza, he knew it was all in good humor, they were al that way toward each other. Before Zayn's good streak he was on the receiving end of this, and much much more.

They balanced each other out, despite other people's opinions of incessant craziness. Of course, they did have their crazed moments, and the majority of the time they were caught on camera. They had always had a close bond, every since the X-Factor days they were inseparable. The twosome were deemed 'Larry Stylinson' almost overnight, something Harry had always thought was reserved for actual couples. All of that cleared up once they realized that a big part of their fandom actually thought they were a real couple despite the various girlfriends Harry had and Eleanor.

Until recently, it hadn't effected them all that terribly. The straw that broke the camel's back was management requesting even more affection from them to heighten the image. Louis stopped the playful moves all together, and hardly spoke to Harry for weeks after that. It was just too much pressure, having to pretend for the camera, not to mention he did in fact have a girlfriend and it made him self conscious of every move he made toward his friend. Things were just starting to get better, and there wasn't anything that could have made the tall boy happier, he had missed his stripe adorned best friend.

"Walk of shame, eh mate?" Louis brought his hand to his chin, raising his eyebrows in mock suspicion. "Oh now, what would Simon think?" He smirked. Harry puffed his chest out, "I am a grown man, Boo Bear, I will do what I please." Louis rolled his eyes, finally letting a laugh slip his lips. "A wild one, you are." He shook his head. "Might wanna slow down, they might start calling you into the office instead of Bradford Bad Boi over there." He grinned, nodding toward the sleeping figure on the sofa. "You say that as if I should be scared." Harry drew out the 'scared'. "You don't wanna kicked out of the band do you?" He asked dramatically, joking. "Pft, you four couldn't do it without me." He mocked cockiness. "Whatever you say, Haz. It's your arse." The blue eyed boy smirked. "A fine one at that." Harry jokingly took a glance at his own backside.

Before Louis had time to respond a soft knock pounded on the bus door, causing a groan to emit from the curly haired boy. He hated it when the fans found the bus. Louis looked out the window, smiling widely as he opened the door for the visitor. "Kaitlyn!! You were brilliant last night! To what do we owe this pleasure?" He grinned, letting the girl in who had another much smaller girl trailing behind her surprisingly. "And who is this?" Harry caught the bright blue eyed girl's glance and smiled comfortingly. The girl smiled back, oblivious to the boy's notorious womanizing ways. "Thank you! As were you guys, just as always." Kait winked playfully, automatically glancing to the darker skinned boy sleeping on the couch. "Oh, well I just wanted to introduce you guys to my best friend, you know the one I told you guys about. She'll be with us for the rest of tour as my hair and make up girl. Kait held air quotes as she spoke of her friend's supposed position making Belle laugh.

"Hi, I'm Belle..and whatever she's told you is probably extremely exaggerated. She likes to make me sound like some sort of saint." Belle chuckled, playfully nudging the red head before she held her hand out to the two boys in their presence. "Hello love, I'm Harry. Oh, I doubt that's true. You've got saint written all over you." He gave her that smile, the one that weakened the knees of every girl they came in contact with. "I bet that line's killer with the ladies." Belle scoffed, shaking her head laughingly. "Did it work?" He grinned down at her. "Haz. No." Kaitlyn hit the boy's chest, a stern warning not to try things with Belle. "Not her." She whispered to him. He statement only made him wonder why, I mean, yeah she was her best friend but he got the feeling her protection of the small brunette didn't fall on a normal scale. Something was different there, and Harry being Harry would just have to find out. "I think not." Belle laughed trying to play it off, although her posture changed to that of slight discomfort.

Belle turned to Louis, having forgotten his name from her brief research. "Oh! I'm Louis. Nice to meetcha Belle." He grinned. "You lie. You're perfect and you know it, Bellesy." Kaitlyn accused, laughing. "In what world, Firecracker?" She snorted. "This one, obviously." The red head sassed back as the boys just stood in amusement. "Right, right, we'll go with that for now, but only because it does wonders for my confidence." Belle rose her eyebrows playfully up at her friend. "Nice to meet you too by the way, Louis." She acknowledged in late reaction just as the figure on the couch began to stir.
