Contract Spat
Harry POV
“What a Lawyer.”
Well one point score for her.Melrose occupation had startled him. His eyebrows went up as he just looked at her.
“What?” she asked defensively. “I’m just surprised. Lilli...”
“We’re different,” Melrose said, crossing her arms in front of her.“I’m picking on that,” he returned mildly. As I walked over to my desk I couldn’t to wonder the difference between the two sisters.That thought was cut short because Melrose was making funny sounds which by the way don’t sound very good.Harry quickly hands over the contract to Melrose.He leaned against the wall and watched with amusement, as Melrose quickly reads through the pages and the look of shocked on her face was now fuming. Harry watched her carefully as she closed the folder and handed it back to him.Melrose next words cringed because he hated explained about the will stipulates.
“Tell me why you need this, because Lilli never said.” She said quietly waiting for his response.
“My uncle’s will stipulates that I will lose his voting rights within my company if I am not married by the time I am 25 which is five months from now.” He could see that the wheels were turning rapidly in her brain as she weighs her option.
“So no children. And how long does this marriage need to last?” she said. Harry couldn’t contain his excitement but he quickly put on his predator mask on to answer her question. “Three years.”
“Three years!!! You want me to marry you for three years. Are you kidding me?” she asked again. This time making sure that she understands what harry was asking of her. “Yes. That’s what your sister agreed t,” he almost casually.
“My sister, Melrose asserted. “No me.” Harry seems to notice that every time he mentioned Lillian name around Melrose, she become more defensive and angry. It looks like I have cause a wedge between two sisters.
Harry just looked at her. “She’s your sister,” he pointed out. Melrose narrowed her eyes and glared at him. “You were prepared to marry her, so don’t get all high and might with me and don’t think that I wouldn’t fight my way out of this.....oh hell...mess” she finished.
“I may need to marry you to fulfil the terms of a contract; Mr Style and I may choose to abide by it.” Melrose words took me by surprised as she finally put her guards down and accept the contract.
“But why?” asked harry.
“Because to save my sister from you.” She corrected angrily. Well that was harsh I guess I didn’t see that coming. “That very noble of you, considering that she sold you to me,” he pointed out.
“So we would both see my lawyer with your together as we finalised all the paper agreements, and on Saturday we can start moving your things in here,” Melrose was visibly started by harry’s words as her eyes flew toward his. “Oh no, I’m not leaving here,” she stated.
“Rose, you will be my wife and I expect you to leave in this house no question asked.” For once she was stunned and speechless.It was their first marital spat and he won, he didn’t expect that to continue but he was like that he won the first battle.
