Who can you trust?
Chapter 27
Liam was getting severely impatient with Harry. He was pacing the room now, constantly looking at his watch. Anger creased his face with each second. I couldn’t blame him. Liam had to have Harry with him before we could even head for the hospital. The daylight was about to vanish from the sky, and my pain wasn’t about to cease for anything.
I let out a groan of pain. He quickly ran over to me. The frustration on his face was growing more and more. He kept his left hand locked with a tight grip on the phone. He began to run his hand over my stomach. The pain eased a bit, but I still felt an eight out of ten.
“I’m trying to get hold of him,” Liam spoke to me softly. I nodded, trying to hold on as much as possible.
Finally, Harry picked up the phone. I heard Liam in the other room screaming at him about how he should be here by now. He was screaming about how it’d been almost an hour, and I was having massive pains. I tried to tune out the screaming, but it wasn’t doing any good. I could still hear them yelling at each other.
I was about ready to scream, ‘SHUT UP!’ into the other room just so I could have a moment without all of the yelling. Before I could do that though, Liam went silent. I grew worried as the minutes passed before he came back into the bedroom. When he did come back, he had an amused look on his face.
“Harry’s on his way,” He told me.

Waiting was a bitch when it felt like hours before the doctor even came into the hospital room. Harry was holding onto my hand tightly. In fact, so tight that I was begging him to let go. Liam stood in the corner of the room just glaring at Harry. He didn’t even talk to him while he drove to the hospital. Part of me wanted to tell him to stop acting like a five year old, but the other said that he was right, and to let him be.
The doctor finally came in. He sat himself down on the stool next to the bed I was placed on. “Now, Mitchie,” he said reading the paper with my name on it. “you have stomach pains?”
“Yes.” Liam said bluntly before Harry could.
The doctor looked at him and smiled. “I guess you’re the father.”
This made Harry angry. The redness on his face was a clear mark to the doctor of his mistake. He quickly apologized and assured that he would not make that mistake again. “So, Miss. Fields, when did the pain start?”
“About 5 today..”
“Have you had any other symptoms of stomach pain during pregnancy?”
“No, sir.”
“Have you been under stress?” He asked.
I paused for a moment. I looked at Liam, who mouthed at me to tell the truth. I sighed. “I guess you could say that.”
“Ah, alright. Well, I believe your pains are just a reaction to stress then. I’ve seen it happen before. You need to be careful, though. Too much stress can result in a miscarriage.”
Harry’s hand tightened around mine. The doctor picked himself up from the stool. He told me about a medication he was going to be putting me on. After his explanation, he left the room.
Liam walked over and gave me a hug. “I’m so glad you’re going to be okay.”
Harry began to get angrier. He jolted over to where we sat and knocked up against Liam. “I love you, baby.”
Liam was getting frustrated, and tempers were about to fly.
