Who can you trust?
Chapter 10
The sunlight wasn’t a friend to my eyes the following morning. As I opened them, bright rays began to beam into them. I squinted and tried to cover my eyes. However, Harry was blocking my hand from moving. I tried to move without waking him, but I could feel him shift, and I was stuck again.
“Harry?” I spoke. “You need to get up.”
A soft groan came out from him. “Why?”
I sighed, “I need to get up.”
“I don’t recall Perrie saying we had anything major planned for today.” He whined. “Can’t we just stay in bed?”
“Why?” I asked him.
“I’m enjoying this. I finally got you to warm up to me.” he confessed.
I rolled my eyes, “You can lie in bed, but I’m getting up.” I tried to move. When I adjusted myself and got a leg onto the floor, his strong grip began to pull me back.
“No!” He protested. “Stay! Please?”
“Can I at least use the bathroom then?”
“Are you on your period or something?” He asked.
“No,” I started. “it’s something called ‘I need to fucking piss, you ignorant ass!’”
“Ouch.” he said, opening an eye to look at me, “You’re a very hurtful girl, Mitchie.”
I sat up and looked down at him, “It’s my specialty.”
He sighed, placing a pillow on his head, “Go piss then, Madame.”
“I will, and I will enjoy every minute of it.” I blurted to him as I got up and made a way into the bathroom.
In there, I realized I had left my phone sitting on the bathroom counter that night. I quickly grabbed my phone charger and plugged it up. When I did, I saw that I received a message from Perrie.
‘Did Harry stay with you? Cierra wants to know.”
I texted back, ‘It really isn’t any of her business.’
I began to wash my hands and face after I finished what I had set out to do. Occasionally I could tell that Harry would be looking at me, and I would smile at him. As I figured out, he was smiling right back at me too. After I had spent about another three minutes in the bathroom, my phone went off again.
‘I know. I think she has a crush on him. Just be careful.’
I groaned and texted her, ‘I think we intend to stay in my room or his today. He wants a lazy day. I’m not worried at all.’
With that, I put my phone on the counter and decided that I was going to ignore all of the people today. I walked out, Harry was sitting on the bed looking at his phone. He had a smug smile on his face. I could tell he was going to take me somewhere. I could also tell that it probably wouldn’t end all that well by my gut feeling, but I chose to go with what he had to say.
He pushed himself up off the bed, and he ran over to me. I felt two arms pull me into a hug and he said, “Turns out there’s a party happening tonight. Want to go with me?”
I looked at him for a moment, “I’m not sure.”
“Why aren’t you sure? It won’t hurt anyone! I swear! Please, just come with me.”
I waited for the longest time. During the duration of time, I examined his face. Every look on him was begging me to go. I looked in his eyes, and he seemed to be pleading with mine to trust him. Something deep down told me that trouble would brew if I went, but my mind was telling me to do what I wanted. Something else was telling me the same thing. It was something that I had not listened to since I watched my father walk out of the door, and I watched my mother get her heart torn out by every man that promised to be with her, my heart.
“Fine, I’ll go.” I shrugged. After all, what could it hurt?
“Hell yeah!” He cheered. “I’m going to get myself put together. The party will be later on tonight. Look really nice. I want to show you off.” He winked.
At the moment, I could tell that something wouldn’t end up right. I fought off the urge to deny him a party guest, though. Just something made me believe that if I did this, there would be hell to pay, but I couldn’t sit in my room all night long….could I?

The night approached sooner than what I had expected it. I took a step back from the mirror and examined the dress I decided to wear. I didn’t see why I had to dress up for a party at the place I was calling my house for two months. Harry wanted me to dress up though, so I did.
I began to walk out. As I was closing my door, I ran into Liam. He looked at me for a moment and a look washed over his face. That look worried me. I only saw that look on Chance when he had to bail me out of trouble.
“Is everything alright, Liam?” I asked.
He shot back up at me and gave a smile, “Yeah, totally. You look nice.”
I smiled at him, “Thank you! Have you seen Harry, Liam?”
He shook his head, “Not recently. You might want to ask Louis or Niall. I think he was with Zayn earlier though.”
I gave him a hug, “Thank you!”
I was starting down the hallway when I heard Liam say, “I’d be careful if I were you.”
“Why?” I asked. The knot in my stomach grew bigger while I waited for an answer.
“Just…a girl like you could get taken advantage of. I wouldn’t let my guard down.” He said.
“Harry?” I spoke. “You need to get up.”
