Hi everyone. I'm Rhiannon. This book is for my friend who actually did get adopted as you will find out later on in the story but the story is actually based on me, as a bookworm type of girl and me in my friends shoes my who like I said, got adopted. At the start or the end of certain chapters I will leave a authors note for you.

Firstly, I would like to dedicate this story to @fantasygirl17 (Wattpad) who inspired me to actually write this book after I read her book 'One Direction My Babysitters.' Why not check it out?

Secondly, I would like to ask, if you would like to use this book for school purposes ext, I would like you to either leave a comment or message me directly in case your to shy. If you would like to use it just ask me and leave a comment on why you would like to use this book and for what purpose as I am actually turning this into a properly published book. Don't be shy. I wont bite... Promise! ;)

Thirdly, NO HATE!!!

And last but not least, please comment if there is a spelling or punctuation error. I will fix it then. Also PLEASE comment on what you think, vote and follow me. I will follow you back! Promise.

Well that's all peeps! Hope you enjoy. I wont be able to update every day. Only every few days as I have loads of school work and homework to catch up on due to loads of hospital, physio and orthodontist appointments. Also I'm still writing this book and I have to send it to my auntie and publisher too. SO PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!!! Hope you enjoy and cant wait to read your comments. ONCE AGAIN... NO HATE!

Luv ya all!!! XXX

Rhiannon's P.O.V

The sky was a soft baby blue, dotted with white cotton balls that drifted in the air above. The sun shone down on a secluded house on a grassy hill with only a dirt road and rolling land surrounding it. Butterflies roamed around the single dirt pathway, landing and propelling themselves back into the air within mere seconds. A baby sparrow called for it's mother from the nest that rested on a low lying branch of a old birch tree. A feral looking cat looking hungrily at the baby bird, it's muzzle caressed by a moist, pink tongue.

I couldn't help but notice all these beautiful things that lay just on the other side of the glass. They were so close, yet so far away. So attainable but out of my reach at the same time. Oh, what I would give to go out side even for only a minute. I know my adoptive parents would never allow that, in fear of me being seen. Of the secret being plastered on tabloids. No, they couldn't afford that.

I moved away from the window and started to wander aimlessly through the quiet house. I was off in my own thoughts and consumed by daydreams of going outside our adobe. I somehow made my way to the white front door. I stared at the handle. All I would have to do is turn it. It would be that simple. That easy. I would be out. I would be FREE! My hand inched ever so slowly to the black handle, a result of my indecisiveness.

"Rhiannon! Please come to the living room for your calculus lesson for the day!" My 'Adopted' mothers shrill voice echoed through the hallway which reminded me of a asylum once described in a book. Although she tried to hid her British accent it still hinted in her words.
"Coming mother!" I called. I rushed down the white hallway to the living room. But something caught my eye. I screeched to a halt and stepped back to the object on the table. It hadn't been there before. This was the first time I have seen one in over 7 years. Yet I knew what it was from countless hours of reading and my blurred memories. I never thought my adoptive father would allow one in the house. It's name throbbed in my ears. It's beautiful, five letter name. Phone.

But before I could stop myself or even think about what I was doing. I reached out and grabbed the smooth phone off the dock and cradled it in my hands. I ran my fingers on the smooth surface of the numbers. I knew exactly what I was going to do. I was going to get out of this prison. Mt adoptive brother knew we didn't own a phone, yet he gave me his number any ways. Often when I missed him I would get the scrap of paper and read his number. I don't know how to explain it, but when I read those seven numbers, excluding the area code, I fell like he was with me. I slowly poked those seven numbers in and hit the green button with the word 'CALL' plastered on it. The phone made a noise that sounded like it was ringing. It rang three times and then stopped.

"Hello?" A crystal clear voice came through the receiver from what I remembered.

"Liam." I managed to choke out.

"Rhiannon is that you?" He sounded as if he couldn't believe it. We hadn't seen each other in over seven years.

I nodded and waited for his response. It was only then I realized that he couldn't see me. "Yes." I whispered.

"When did mum get a phone?" Liam asked.

I kept my voice low. "I'll explain everything later. Right now I need your help."

After a few seconds Liam answered. "I'm listening." "I want you to help me get out of here." I whispered.

"Anything for my little sister." He breathed.

My adoptive mother called me again. "Find a way to get here. I'll be waiting for you in the front of the house at midnight."

"Okay but there's something I-"

I could hear my mother's feet making their way down the hall. "I have to go. Love you, bye." I clicked the red button that said "END" on it. There was no more sound coming from the receiver. I quickly set the phone back down in the dock and stared at the painting to the left of the table.

I acted surprised when my mother appeared next to me. I claimed I had been distracted by the marvelous painting and was admiring it's beauty. Incredulously, she believed me. I spent the whole lesson planning out the night in my head. Somehow I still managed to pay attention to my adoptive mother and her teachings.

When 10:30 PM came around I grabbed a bag and stuffed three changes of clothes, my hairbrush, my toothbrush and toothpaste, an extra pair of shoes, my diary and a picture of Liam and I when her was nine and I was three into it.

I took a long shower, seeing that I had time to kill. It was 11:30 when I got out. I changed into a t-shirt, a comfy pair of sweats, trainers and a sweatshirt. I put my brown hair up into a ponytail and slung my hair over my shoulder. It was five minutes until pick up time. I tiptoes to the door and took a deep breath. I placed my hand on the doorknob and turned it.

A wave of cool air cam in and crashed over me. I could hear crickets singing their song and fireflies lit up the yard. I stepped outside of the house and gently closed the door behind me. I walked down the hill until I was only ten meters from the road. Within minutes a silver car pulled up in front of me. The passenger's window was rolled down. Liam was in the driver's seat.
"Get in." My brother commanded me. Without saying a word I got in the passenger seat and placed my bag next to me.

"Thank you so much Liam."

"No problem Rhi."

He looked at me and smiled. "You've grown so much!"

I smiled and a faint blush crossed over my cheeks. "That's what you get when you don't see someone in over seven years." I said quietly.

It went quiet for a few minutes. We had been driving for about twenty minutes when a question came to mind. "Where are we going?"

"To my condo." He said without taking his eyes off the road.

"What was it you wanted to tell me Li?"

"Er, how do I say this? We're... Not going to be living alone."

I gasped. "You eloped?"

"Lord no Rhi! I live with my mates. We're in a band together." Liam said shocked by comment.

"But... But mother told me that you left because of me." I whispered.

Liam looked over at me. It looked like anger, shock, confusion and disappointment were all muddled on his face. He shook his head. "Well not exactly. Dad moved me to live with Grandma Payne and never told me why. When I was seventeen I left Grandma Payne to enter a show called the X Factor. I didn't make it in, along with four other guys. So one of the judges suggested we form a band together and enter in the category. So we did, and we got in. We got third place. I guess we conjured a lot of fans during the show because now we're going on tours and releasing albums."

"So your famous?"

He bit his lip and nodded. I yawned. "Get some sleep, we'll be at the apartment in an hour or so."

I leaned my head against the seatbelt. It wasn't the most comfortable position in the world, but I was so tired it didn't matter. I yawned again and closed me eyes. The last thing I remembered before sleep engulfed me was Liam humming a catchy tune.
