chapter 4
Niall’s p.o.v
I tried struggling as they hand cuffed the other people, I could feel the stake in my back pocket and I reached for it only for it to be grabbed and chucked to the floor.
“why do you even need me I’m just human, let me go” I shouted.
“because you’re a threat.” The man said.
“how am I a threat all I’m doing is staying hidden and I’m not causing any harm.” I said still struggling.
“just shut up.” The man said ok Liam needs to get his arse out here right now, if this man gets me back to the council then I’m dead and I know it, maybe it’s worth shouting, but that could attract more vampires that will kill me but it could cause a distraction.
“you want me to shut up?” I asked.
“yes now be quiet” he said he pushed me forward making me stumble as I lost my balance. Well here goes nothing.
“Liam!” I shouted at the top of my lungs the man covered my mouth instantly with something and I looked around and saw a figure standing in between the trees, but his eyes were glowing red, three more figures appeared and the two men who were taking me away with the two knocked out people got into a defensive position ready to attack anything that lunged at them.
I took my opportunity to start walking backwards away from all of this when I walked into someone who pinned me up against a tree and I looked into her red eyes.
“Eleanor?!”I asked my voice was muffled by the thing over my mouth but El pulled the cloth off of my mouth I looked into her eyes and I felt so scared, but she ripped the hand cuffs off of my hands.
“Niall you need to run, go back to Liam and whoever you are with and get out of town we have your back for now.” She said I started to run confused by everything El just saved me instead of killing me, and who were the other three figures I was so confused that I fell into something hard I started to panic trying to find something to protect myself to find myself with no luck and I kept my eyes shut waiting for something to kill me.
“Niall what are you doing?” Hannah asked.
“oh Hannah it’s just you, you scared me, we need to go now we need to get Allison and Liam and go the government found me and they were going to take me away so we need to go and leave town.” I rambled she nodded and we both ran back to where Allison and Hannah were.
“guys we need to leave, the government found me before they were going to take me and kill me they are in the woods El and three other vampires can’t hold them off long but it gives us time to skip town we need to go I know it won’t take them long for them to find us so come on and let’s go.” I said grabbing my backpack. Liam pulled me in for a long hug.
“I’m happy you’re alright you’re the only family I have left and you’re not leaving me and I’m not losing you.” Liam said
“well I’m not going anywhere, apart from away from here so let’s go.” I said and we started to run, we ran for 5 minutes through the woods, when I fell because of my knee. They all stopped and came back where I was helped up.
“why did El help you?” Liam asked.
“I don’t know, I don’t even know how they found us all I know is she wanted to help” I said.
“you said there were three other vampires do you think they were H-“ Liam said but I cut in.
“no, it wouldn’t have been they don’t know we are alive.” I said.
“hows your knee?” Hannah asked.
“dislocated.” I said.
“ Liam you snap it back into place we will hold him.” Allison said Hannah and Allison held both my arms down and Liam snapped it into place. I screamed out in pain it was very painful.
“you two were meant to cover his mouth so he wouldn’t shout, now they will find us.” Liam said clearly annoyed. We heard a noise coming from the left and Allison shot a bullet at whatever it was and it hit the the vampire in the stomach and it fell to the floor.
“ill kill it” Liam said he, grabbed the stake out of his bag pack and walked over to where he fell he stood over it and he held the stake up but he froze.
“Liam kill it!” Hannah shouted.
“I can’t” Liam said I hopped over to where he was to see why and we saw Zayn on the floor.
“why did you shoot me?” Zayn asked as he pulled the bullet out.
“we didn’t know it was you” I said Liam was still frozen but his hand fell down and he still had the stake in his hands.
“you were going to stake me?” Zayn said he looked hurt by that.
“you are a vampire” Liam said.
“Harry, Louis come here” Zayn shouted and they both turned up but their eyes were bright red but they died down back to their original colours.
“you two are alive” Harry said he went in for a hug from Liam but Liam walked away. I stood their awkwardly not knowing what to do but it was creepy having three vampires close to me so I turned around and started to walk away when one of them grabbed my arm.
“what do you want?” I said annoyed.
“you haven’t seen us In two years and your just going to walk away without saying anything.” Louis said.
“you guys are vampires we are human, you guys are dead Liam and I are human we can’t be around you and you’re basically dead to us I mean you’ll kill us in the blink of a eye I bet if I turn around your eyes will be red because of me.” I said I turned around and they looked hurt but their eyes were red again.
“ Niall we may be dead but we are still your best friends, we wouldn’t hurt you” Harry said.
“ you say you wouldn’t hurt me but you would, kill me instantly, just let me go before those guys turn up again I don’t want to be killed.” I said but Zayn didn’t let go of my wrist.
“Niall we haven’t changed just our lifestyles please just talk to us like we used to.” Zayn said.
“you know I can get Hannah or Allison to kill you in an instant since they don’t know you so let me go.” I said.
“and we could kill you in seconds but we aren’t going to.” Louis said.
“I don’t care just let me go before I get them to kill you!” I shouted Zayn let go and I started to walk away.
“you know you’ve changed.” Harry said and I stopped walking and faced them.
“yeah because two years of hiding and trying not to be killed changes a guy, I mean I’ve killed lot’s of vampires I’ve almost died, almost been caught, you have all changed too.” I said.
“we haven’t changed as much as you have” Zayn said.
“you have you guys are dead that’s a bigger change than I have.” I said and walked away they flinted in front of me.
“Hannah, Allison shoot them so they are injured” I said and they both shot them in the stomachs and they all fell to the floor and I walked away I found Liam he was gripping his head and he punched a tree.
“calm down Liam” I said.
“we need to go can you run?” Liam said.
“ I think I can, but where are we going to go Liam, it’s going to take us all night to reach another woods, we can’t drive because we have no car we’re stuck” I said.
“Niall what would you rather happen the government find out about those men being killed and them sending more people out to the woods to find us in here and kill us or us running all night until we get somewhere safe?” Liam said I looked at the floor.
“run all night and be safe.” I said.
“but you can’t run whilst your knees like that it will just get worse” I looked up and saw Louis standing there with Zayn and Harry.
“well we have no other option I’m just gonna have to put up with the pain.” I said.
“you can have our car we have three take it and find somewhere safe to stay” Harry said.
“once people realize your car’s missing won’t they look for it.” I said.
“probably just ditch it in the next town somewhere and we will get it.” Zayn said.
“I don’t get why you are helping us.” Liam said.
“just because we aren’t human anymore doesn’t mean we don’t care for you guys, seriously if you think we would just forget about you then you obviously don’t know how much you guys actually meant to us.” Louis said he glared at Harry and Zayn whilst saying that.
“right Lou we get it, you were right they are alive and not dead just forget about it ok.” Harry snapped.
“so you guys did forget about us obviously we meant everything to you guys.” Liam said.
“Liam what else were we meant to do that night we never heard anything all we heard was that people were after you and wanted you to either become vampires or dead now the government is at the point where they just want you dead.” Harry shouted.
“Lou we’ll take your car bring it the edge of the woods.” I said and Louis sped off and we all sat in a awkward silence.
