Only You

My breath hitched in my throat.

"We've got nothing to talk about Harry" I jerked my hand away. I was trying to avoid the awkwardness AND this conversation.

"We do! Just let me talk, please!" He followed closely behind.

"Harry-"

"2 minutes? Please. If you're still sick of me, I'll just go. I promise" his said calmly. I looked at him and nodded.

"Mia I'm really really sorry for what happened. I know what I did was wrong and I was way too drunk to realise but that's no excuse. I know that I was being a dick yesterday. I was being so selfish with this and I was too damn mad at myself. I just couldn't think straight. I love you Mia, I love you so much" He said out of breath. He took my hand in his with a hint of worry written all over his face.

I looked at him and pouted, even though what he just said was enough for me to understand how he probably felt.

"Why were you mad then yesterday?"

"I thought I had almost lost you. I-I was angry at myself. I was pissed off that I couldn't take back what I did. Then Liam came over and brought me back to myself. I'm sorry"

"I thought it wouldn't happen again" I looked down at our fingers intertwined.

"What wouldn't happen? Tell me what's wrong baby"

"I hoped that it I wouldn't be betrayed on. It just had to happen" I said very quietly like it was a dangerous subject. It was actually.

"I know, Fuck I'm terribly sorry Mia. I wouldn't never do it on purpose. I swear" I took a deep breath before I slowly wrapped my arms around his torso.

"I love you Harry" I said hugging him as I closed my eyes as I breathed in his familiar scent that I loved.

"I love you too Mia, so much" he tightened our embraced and that's how I knew that he really meant what he said a moment ago.

We both stayed in since it was raining outside. We didn't converse a lot but the only thing that I needed was for him to be here. I planned to go out later at night to do some shopping.

After Harry and I talked we kind of just lay in bed, cuddled and enjoyed our presence. I almost fell asleep until I heard the sound of thunder boom in the area. Harry kept me close whispering sweet things every now and then. I would giggle at his failed attempts to make jokes. He placed kisses on my nose, cheek and lips every now an then and nuzzled his head into my neck. Just those sweet little things are what I needed from a man. Just those sweet gestures that made me love Harry even more. I didn't need him to do something major to make me happy because just himself is enough to make me happy enough.


Harry's POV


After Mia and I had talked things through we went to her room. We were both knackered from what happened these past 48 hours. All the worry disappeared as soon as she gave in. Lord knows what I'd do if she didn't forgive me. We both needed each other and it was quite obvious. If it wasn't for this stupid weather, I'd take her on a date. Just the two of us. That would make up for how I ruined her birthday and show her how much I care about her. She would jump a little every time she heard the thunder. I untied her hair bun and ran my fingers down her long hair to relax her. She finally fell asleep, but for some reason I stayed awake. I admired the woman sleeping in my arms and smiled to myself at how lucky I was.
