Chapter Forty
Mia’s POV
Harry and I made our way to Louis’ house. I couldn’t help but feel a little nervous or something. How will they react. I don’t want them to pity me. I don’t want them to be nicer or something. I just want them to act the way they normally do because I’m fine.
‘We’re here!” Harry parked outside the house. We both made our way out and I grabbed Harry’s hand. He squeezed my hand and I felt a little better. He rang the doorbell and I squeezed Harry’s hand again. I heard whispers on the other side of the door.
“Mia!” The door flew open and there stood everyone. Including Emily!
Everybody engulfed me in a huge hug. I stood there with wide eyes taking in what had happened as I almost fell. I finally smiled when I saw Harry join in. As sweet as it all was I couldn’t breath.
“Guys as much as I’ve missed all of you, I can’t breath” I choked out. They then let go except our Irish lad, Niall.
“Niall..” I laughed.
“Sorry” He let go.
“Are we gonna stand in the cold or are we gonna go inside where it’s warm” I scanned the environment.
“Yeah sure let’s go” Everyone mumbled quickly walking in and pulling me along.
“Emily!” I pulled her in for a tight hug. I’ve missed her so much.
“What’s cooking?” I asked when I smelt something delicious.
“Louis is cooking something but let’s go upstairs” El pulled me.
“Hey, hey wait we missed her too ya know?” Louis argued.
“5 minutes!” El and I entered a room followed by Perrie, Danielle and Emily.
“You’ve missed out on things!” El started.
“Emily got a boyfriend” She whispered.
“What? You do? But I thought you liked Niall” I kinda pouted. They look so cute together.
“Wait. Hold up. Excuse me?” Perrie said and I laughed at her words.
“That’s not true! He’s cute”
“But…” Dani added.
“But nothing, Niall’s cute” Emily replied. I was still confused.
“We’re gonna have a serious discussion about this” Dani laughed and Em rolled her eyes.
“Ha. Ha. Ha. But the guy is called Chris. He’s not my boyfriend but he’s so nice. He works in this library next to campus and he’s got blond hair and beautiful eyes”
“But I don’t like him!” She added.
“I’m still gonna meet him ya know?” I said.
“Fine” She rolled her eyes but smiled after.
“Knock knock?” I heard a voice say outside the room.
“Who’s there?” I asked and Emily giggled.
“Get down” what?
“Get down who?”
“GET DOWN HERE IMMEDIATELY YA BUNCH OF FREAKS!” Another voice yelled and we burst into fits of laughter. The door opened and there stood Harry and Niall. Niall was obviously the one who yelled like that because he had a wide smile plastered on his face.
“Let’s go aka bitches” He walked away. Oh gosh. I’ve missed them.
“We all walked down the stairs still laughing lightly.
“Oh my god you have a piano?” I shrieked when I saw one in the corner.
“Yeah I brought it down to breath a little” Louis chuckled. I walked towards the piano.
“Can I?” I asked Louis.
“Of course, go ahead” He sat down on the bench next to me.
“Sweet! I knew exactly what I wanted to play.
I let my fingers press the keys as it formed a melody that was probably familiar to all of u. It was one of my first songs. My dad and I used to sing and play it all the time.
“Wow, wow, wow, where did that come from” Louis asked shocked when I had finished the piano version of ‘Rolling in the Deep’ by Adele.
“I play the piano” I simply said. By now everyone had surrounded the old piano and I was slowly beginning to blush.
“Can I just say that was fucking amazing, excuse my French” He said. I laughed and thanked him.
“I agree” Liam said.
“Did you know this Harry?” Liam asked Harry who had his eyebrows raised.
“She mentioned something about playing the piano but I didn’t know you could play like this” Now I was blushing big time.
“Another one yay!” Niall cheered. Ok then.
I played the chorus of ‘This is Love’ by Will.i.am which was quite easy.
“You’re amazing!” El shouted.
“Thanks” I stood up and went to sit down at the dinning table.
“Why don’t you sing for us!” Emily asked.
“You can sing?” Zayn asked.
“And play the guitar” Emily added.
“What?” We now had Niall Horan’s full attention.
“After dinner please?” I begged. I am hungry ok?
“Ok then. What did the Tommo cook for us?” Zayn sat down too.
“Hahahaha, the Tommo” Niall laughed.
Harry sat down next to me and rested his left hand on my knee.
“You’re a musical one Mia” Liam said also sitting down.
“My musical Starr” Harry whispered and kissed my cheek.
“Ok everyone! Dinner is ready!” Louis announced.
“What have you made for us Tommo Tomlinson” Zayn asked which still made Niall laugh.
“I’ve made… Chicken! With potatoes on the side and I have made the best desert ever!” He said. We all clapped and cheered.
“Let’s eat!” Niall said.
