Luck...
Chapter one- My average day.
"Can I have one large coffee please?" The tall man said to me, I replied saying "Yes, thats £1.30 please." I ran over to the coffee machine thinking about everything, as usual. I worked in the local library in my little town named Holmes Chapel. Today was the cafe duty and safe to say I really really hated it. I gave the man his drink then went back to cleaning the seats and chairs. The cafe was literally empty. There was no more then at least 5 people in here; so it was very quiet.
Im Myler. Im 17 and have a really boring life. I live with my Mum called Kelly. My Sister Abbi who is14 and my little brother called Charlie who is 6. I go to a college called 'Jamersons college' And study English lit and drama. I have two bestfriends named Lily and Paige, they mean the word to me. And last of all... this is my job, its boring, pointless and depressing but I need money. So... Thats my life.
The day was very very slow but finally it came to an end. My shift finished at 4, and it was 3:57. I grabbed all my things and shut the cafe down. I opened up my phone to two texts. One from Abbi and one from Paige. Abbis said "My, can you come pick me up from joshs after work please? Weve had an argument..?x" I replied saying "For god sakes ab, yes im just getting in my car now ill be two mins!x" Abbi was my 14 year old bitch of a sister. She was one of these girls who thought more about what size bra they were then what job they will get. And as for Josh, he was her boyfriend. I think he was year 11 so a year above her which made me a little comprehensive. As much of a bitch she made herself out to be, She was my little sister and she did mean the world to me, even when we did fight.
After, I opened up Paiges text. She said "Hey gorgeous, do you mind if I stayed tonight? I know you have work again tomorrow but I cant stand to be in this house tonight!xxxx" Without thinking I replied "Of course, your always welcome!xxxx" I then walked to my car and drove off to pick abbi up.
"Alright abs?" I said to abbi as she aggresivly got into the car. "No, not really. I hate him, hes constantly on my case every day and its killing me now." She was just 14, but she had the brain and looks of an 18 year old and lets just say I knew she wasnt the type of girl to sit and play board games with her boyfriend. I said to her, "Look abbi, if your un happy end it. Im fed up always picking you up when you both fight. Its stupid." She looked at me in a vile way. The way a bully would look at a little year 7.
As we got home abbi went straight up to her room. I walked into the living room to see my Mum making dinner with charlie pesting around her. I loved my mum so much. She ment the whole wide world to me, and I sort of felt like I had to protect her. When Charlie turned 2 my dad left my mum. I havnt heard from him since then and neither had Abbi or Charlie. He wasnt alot of help anyway. I did miss him, but he had a new life now. With a daughter and a new wife, so I was Happy for him... Not. I took charlie into my room so mum could finish her cooking in peace. My little brother was the cutest. He was such a little boy though. He loved Power rangers, Ben 10 and all them sort of programs. Shortly after Paige was at my door. She seemed angry and upset. Paige was beautiful I was oftenly intimidated by the way she looked. And Lily, But paige was just well.. gorgeous.
It got to 9 o'clock and we all was ready for bed and had our dinner. Charlie was in bed now and me Paige my mum and Abbi were all sat round watching love actually. I loved times like this, when there was no fighting, screaming or anything just peace. Tomorrow was friday; luckily. I have work thursdays, fridays and sunday afternoons. And college Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Paige had work tomorrow to. She worked at Topshop down the town which was only 10 minutes away from mine. All us girls watched love actually and snuggled up with popcorn and chocolate. After the film finished we all went to bed. Me and paige stayed up and talked for a little while then slowly drifted off to sleep with music playing in the background...
