I arrived at my gym, a lot of my friends already lined up.
"Hey, Opal, what's up?" my friend Minnie asked me.
"Nothing, and why do you ask me that all the time? I'm always with you?" I asked.
"Don't know, I might be starting a bad habit." Minnie answered.
"Hey Opal!" Minnie's sister, Erin, came over to me.
"Hey Er." I said. "Where's Cara?"
Minnie and Erin both shrugged.
"Here I am!" Cara yelled from the front desk.
"OH," I said.
And we laughed.
Erin wasn't in gymnastics but she came there to cheer me and and Minnie on.
My other friend Hannah, who was my VERY BEST FRIEND, arrived and sat next to Erin after saying hi to me.
The teacher blew the whistle and me, Minnie and Cara walked inside.
We were all in the same group. Our group spread out in spots on the huge blue floor in the middle and warmed up.
(Ok, now this part only gymnasts will understand.)

We started off with the butterfly stretch, then did a back handspring and forward somersault and lastly we did a one handed cartwheel.
We went to the tramp and did an Aerial Cartwheel and the teacher thought I did "AMAZING".
We kept on the tramp and did the scissors leap, which is really hard.
The last thing on the tramp we did was the split leap.
We went to beam.
First on beam was cross handstand.
Then a one handed cartwheel and a flip.
We went to vault.
We did the front handspring, Yurchenko and Tsukahara.
Then we went to the last thing, the bars.
We did the hip circle, the flyaway and the kip.
And that was the end of class.
I heard Erin and Hannah cheering for me when I got my rainbow ribbon.
My friends ran out of the gym and they left before I did because I had to sign up for free-time next week.
On my way out I bumped into some boys. And I recognized them.
One Direction.
