I woke up extra early today. My alarm clock set for 7:00 in the morning.
Today was the big day: the radio contest for One Direction tickets and VIP passes.
I ran to the living room, where my mother stood there with a cup of tea.
"Morning Em," she said in her sleepy voice.
I didn't have enough time to reply. The raffle started in 5 minutes!
I grabbed the radio from the table in the living room and brought it back up to my room, and sat it down on my bed.
I turned it on to the channel I wanted, and heard them say, "....Caller number 18 will win tickets and VIP passes to One Direction's concert in Boston!" I smiled. "Get your phones ready...." I smiled again. "AND START DIALING!!!"
I grabbed my phone and dialed the number, "YOU LOST."
I did it again. "YOU LOST."
I did it one more time. "YOU ARE THE LUCKY CALLER NUMBER 18!!!" the radio host said.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
"Am I on the air right now?" I asked the host, Davey.
"Yes you are lucky caller!" he answered.
"OH MY GOD, THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!!" I said into the phone.
"Congratulations! We will need your information to send the tickets and passes. What's your first and last name?" Davey asked.
"My name is Emma Roberts." I answered.
"Where are you calling from?" he asked.
"Rhode Island."
"What's your phone number?"
"401-123-1234."
"Okay, thank you miss Roberts, your tickets and passes should arrive in the next few hours! Enjoy the concert tomorrow!" Davey said.
"Thanks so much for having me!" I said and hung up the phone.
OMG, WHAT HAD JUST HAPPENED?
