I feel safe walking with Liam instead of being alone. We have been walking around for 20 minutes now and I have already shot 2 rabbits and 1 squirrel, and Liam shot 1 rabbit. It took him awhile to get the hang of bow hunting, but he has decent aim. "It's so weird not to use a gun." He said.
I never had the luxury of guns, I was lucky to get my hands on the 2 bows we have. Also guns are so loud. "How did you know how to shoot a gun?" I ask realizing that a boy band member has no real reason for shooting guns. "I asked out security guard to teach us before this happened. Just incase we were in any danger at any time." He said with a blank expression."How did you learn how to hunt?" He asked looking at me.
"Well i took archery lessons since I was 5, so yah" I heard a rustling in a bush up ahead.
"Stay behind me" I said. He moved behind me and I moved ahead. A buck emerged from behind a bush and my arrow found a home in its eye."Wow" I said. Nothing as big as this buck has been in this woods for weeks. I guess it's about 150 pounds with a nice pelt. Should feed us for at least 2 weeks, and keep us warm. Which is good since its fall. "This should be good for today " Liam says,but I hold up a hand to him. I notice that the buck's mouth was wet, that means a source of water nearby. "See this," I point out to him. "Yah" He says like its no big deal.
"If the buck found water, it can't be far from here"
He gets it.
Time to find water.
