Wanna Bet? (Part 2)
Chapter 16
* Rachael's Point of View *
I took a deep breath.
"Okay, here it goes." I said.
"The main character is Kyoko. She's 16. She's in love with her childhood friend named; Sho. Who is also the same age as her.
Sho is a pop sensation. He's an artist. Girls drool over him. He asked Kyoko to move with him to Tokyo. Kyoko is so in love with Sho, that she dropped out of school to be with him.
Little did she know that Sho actually finds her annoying. The only reason he asked her to move with him is so that he could use her. He needed her to pay his bills and basically be a maid.
One day, Sho comes home. Of course, Kyoko is beyond happy.. While they're at home, they come across a channel where a famous actor named; Ren, is being interviewed.
Ren is 20 years old, and girls drool over him as well.. And Sho hates that. Sho finds Ren his rival, he hates him. That night Kyoko accidentally says something that upset him.
Of course she feels bad. The next day she decides to bring him lunch at his studio. When she gets there. She over hears Sho. She hears him saying that he is only using her.
Now, you would say, 'Oh, poor girl. She's so broken hearted she must be devastated.' well, you're right about the broken heart part.
But she's not devastated, she furious! So she tries to hit him, but of course she can't touch him with all his body guards.
Sho then said something he'll regret saying. He says to her, "If you want revenge on me, you'll have to join the showbiz. It's the only way,".
Now, he didn't know she'd actually do it. Otherwise he probably wouldn't have said anything.
She decided to take his advice. So she goes to an agency. She goes and auditions for an acting part. But what she didn't know was that the great Ren Tsuruga was part of that agency.
When she bumps into him in the halls, Ren asks her what her motivations in acting are. All she could say was, 'Revenge,'. Of course, he thinks that's a stupid motivation so he ends up hating her and vice versa.
But anyways, later on in the story as Kyoko makes her way up. Ren finds out that he's starting to actually like her.
He starts to have a little crush on her. His manger already knows, so he asks him why he won't make a move.
His response is, 'She's 16. I'm 20.' "
We both stayed silent.
"So, he's freaked out about the age difference?" asked Harry.
"... Yeah. That's why I love it so much. I believe that love should never be based off age difference. Nor what sex you are. Love is love."
Harry smirked at me.
"I agree with you. Skip Beat sounds like a very good anime. I think I'll watch it."
"You should. You'll end up surprising yourself."
"Can you play other songs on the piano?"
"Yeah... I'm actually working on something.."
"Can I hear?"
"Uhh.. It's --"
"Come on!" he whined.
"... Erm.. O-okay."
