"We're sorry, Mr.Horan, but there is really nothing we can do about it," The doctor said.
Yeah, Im sure he was sorry. He told people day in and day out that they were dying, that there was no hope for them.
The way he said the words made me feel like he didn't care. Like he was just reciting a line he had said a million times before.
"So what do I do?" I whispered, not looking at him, but keeping my watering eyes fixated on the ground.
"In your stage of the desease, I would say you have about 90 days before your body deteriorates to the point that you're going to need to stay in the hospital. So I suggest you go out and have fun," He said.
Little did I know, it was going to be the best 90 days of my life.
