Little Things Make Me Love You

Chapter One

Walking out of her flat for the first time since moving back to London, Clementine was looking forward to see what her city had to offer her.
She had been living in the States attending Uni for the past two years and she had greatly missed living in London. Her parents had offered to help her move back and had let her a flat in Knightsbridge, close to home.
Clementine walked down the street towards the shops and her favourite Starbucks. She wore mid brown riding boots, dark jeans, white tank top, green parka and her favourite Jack Wills mid brown Tilbury bag. Her long dark brown hair was swept up into a messy top knot.
She could never concentrate on a task at home, so she decided coffee and a public place would be a great help to her hunt.
She opened the shop door and stepped out of the bitter cold and into the warmth and smell of good coffee. She ordered her usual triple vanilla latte and sat down at a table to start her hunt.
"Triple vanilla latte!" yelled the barista.
She quickly got up to get her coffee and as she reached for it, she noticed another hand grab it before she could.
"Pardon me, but that's my coffee," she said as she looked into a pair of bright green eyes. His curly brown hair immediately caught her attention.
"Oh! Sorry! I thought it was mine!" he said with a smile.
She couldn't take her eyes off of him and she noticed that he had a dimple in his left cheek when he smiled..
..and then she snapped back to reality.
"Oh..uhh..umm..," she stammered. "That's okay.."
He laughed when he noticed she had been distracted by his appearance.
"Here's yours. I'll wait properly for mine," he said and winked as he handed her the coffee.
She blushed and gave a quick "Thanks!" as she walked away to sit down.

'Wow Clementine. You have just completely embarassed yourself!' she thought.

She opened up her MacBook and tried to start her work, but found herself watching the chap, who was now standing by the sugar and cream station, more than she was actually getting anything done. He finally recieved his coffee and turned to see her staring at him. She looked away as fast as she could and pretended to be engrossed in what she was doing, which was now Twitter. Out of the corner of her eye she could see him making his way over to her table.

"Oh now you've done it. He's probably coming over here to ask you to stop staring at him."

"Is this seat taken?" he asked in an amused tone.
"Uhhh...no! Of course not!" she almost choked.
He laughed as he sat down. "So what is it you are doing today?"
She laughed. "Well, I'm supposed to be hunting for a job, but I don't think I'm doing a very good job of it."
He looked at her computer screen and said sarcastically,"If you find any leads on Twitter,
let me know."
She shut her MacBook in embarassment and took a sip of her latte.
"I'm Harry by the way. Harry Styles." He winked as he introduced himself.
"Oh, it's nice to meet you! I'm Clementine King."
He was shocked. "Wait, you mean you don't know me already?"
She was just as shocked as he was. "Umm..no. I don't believe we've met before."
"But you have seen me on the tele?" he asked.
She wondered who on Earth he could be. She racked her brain through the handful of pop culture references she had heard her fellow classmates talk about, but came up empty handed.
"Nope. I can't say I have. I've been living in the States for the past two years attending Uni. Not much room for entertainment when you're studying all day." she explained.
"Wow. That's literally insane. I thought you were staring at me because I'm a part of One Direction!" he laughed at his mistake.
"You're one of those lads who sings What Makes You Beautiful!? I love that song! I had no idea it was you, but that's amazing!" she laughed at her ignorance.
After they shared a good laugh, Harry looked at her quite seriously.
"You're really cool, you know? I don't think I've met a girl like you before. I was honestly flabbergasted that you didn't know who I was, but I'm actually kind of glad."
He looked at his watch and realized that he had stayed longer than he should've.
He reached for her iPhone, put in his phone number and sent himself a text so he could have hers.
"I've got to go, but you can definitely be expecting a ring from me," he said and winked as he quickly ran out of the Starbucks and got into his car.
Clementine tried to concentrate on her job hunt for the rest of the day, but all she could think about was Harry, the chap with the dimple and green eyes.
