Whole New World - ON HOLD
V.I.P?!
On the drive there Kristy and I were chatting away exitedly about the night ahead of us, watching the top 10 contestants of 'The X Factor USA' perform together, a performance from an unknown celebrity and the bottom 2 performances before an elimination, but sadly our exitment had died along with our feet after walking for 20 minutes towards where the show was being held. I didn't realize how far away we were going to have to park, otherwise I would have worncompletly different shoes and I'm pretty sure Kristy was regretting wearing her 5 inch heels too.
"I can't wait to go sit down and get my body weight off these bloody shoes!" I exclaime as I practically dragged myself towards the arena."Beauty is pain" she said matter-of-factly. I scoffed at her. She knows it annoys the living daylights out of me so she uses it as often as she can. I glared at her, "never again" I said and she giggled uncontrolably until we finally joined the moving queue and waited to scan our tickets so we could go inside and sit down.
We had been standing in the queue for a good 20 minutes and we were about to go forward and scan our tickets when we were stopped by a pudgy, smiling woman. "Hi girls I have a surprise for you, could you please follow me?" I glanced at K with a questoning look before following the lady towards what looked like a side door to the arena. "I'm sorry, but where are we going? The concert starts soon and w-" I was cut off by the woman turning around and shoving two passes in my hands. "Are these what I think they are?" I asked reading the letters 'V.I.P' but not believing them. I was answered with an exited squeal from Kristy. We hugged each other and jumped up and down for a moment before turning back to the smiling lady.
"I work here and got a few V.I.P passes and was going to give them to my daughter and her friend but she had plans so I decided to come and give them to a few people down here" she explained before I could ask. "Words can not explain how thankful we are we just aaahhhh" Kristy said hugging the woman a second time. "It is my pleasure girls" she said smiling. She explained that we were in the mosh pit then we would just stay where we were standing after everyone else left and we could meet the contestants and possibly the celebrity guest. "Ooh do you know who the guest performer is?" I asked enthusiastically. "I won't spoil the surprise but I will say that they are quite popular around the world and you would be very lucky to meet them" This just made my curiosity even worse. We whined and begged for her to tell us but she wouldnt give in so we thanked her again for the passes and went inside to get as close to the stage as pollible.
"She was SO cute!" I said once we walked away. "Aww I know right!" K agreed. "Istill can't believe we got V.I.P passes for free!" she continued and we walked through the side door and into the slowly forming mosh pit.
We managed to shove our way to the front and despite the glares annd snide comments from the others in the crowd of people we were standing in, we stayed where we were and waited impatiently for the host and judges to come on tage and stat the show. "Whats the time K?" I asked even though I had asked 4 times in the past fiften minutes. "Seven o-clock, we have just under haf an hour, now would you please stop asking me that every few minutes?!" she snaped. This was going to be the longest half hour EVER.
