Harry’s P.O.V
I woke up to Kayla sitting on my stomach jumping up and down shouting for me to wake up.
“Who put you up to this?”I asked tickling her so she would tell me.
“Ch..Chai and Gemma.”She replied laughing.I stopped tickling her then set her on the ground.She ran into the kitchen where I heard Chai,mum,and Gemma talking. I followed Kayla and when I walked in I gave Chai a kiss.
“What time is it?”I asked since I had to be at the shoot at 10 this morning.
“It’s 8:30.Why?”Chai asked while pouring Kayla a bowl of cereal and adding milk.
“We have to be at the shoot by 10.Chai can I talk to you real quick?”I asked remembering the call that Simon gave me last night. Chai nodded her head and followed me upstairs to her room. We both sat on her bed facing each other.
“So you know how This Is Us is coming out very soon?” I asked her. She nodded her head then indicated for me to continue. I took a deep breath then continued.
“Well the lads and I have to go to America for press and some concerts.We also have the teen Choice Awards and VMA’s while we are there.” I said looking at her eyes. I could tell she was sad but she just nodded her head and said that it was great.
“I was wondering though if you want to come with us.The guys already talked to the others and they agreed.”I told her hoping she would say yes. I could tell she was really thinking about it because she took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes.
“If Kayla’s mum says it’s ok could she possible come with us?” Chai finally asked.I nodded my head.
“Of course babe.So you’ll come?”I asked her.
“Of course what kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn’t.Also I think we should start getting ready.” She said standing up and walking to her closet and picking out clothes. I walked back down stairs to see Kayla sitting next to Gem on the couch.
“Where’s mum?”I asked Gem sitting down on the other side of Kayla.
“In the shower.I didn’t want Kayla alone down here.So now that you’re here I’m gonna go get ready.”Gemma said standing up.
“Kayla if your mummy says yes would you like to go to America for a while with Chai,the boys and girls, and me?” I asked her. She said yes and started to clap her hands. Chai came down stairs.
“I just called Kayla’s mum and she said it was ok. She also asked me to do something that I need your and the other’s opinion on.” Chai said looking worried and sad. I now became worried but I nodded my head.
“Ok” was all I said in reply.
“Well I need to get Kayla ready and you need to get ready we have to be there in an hour.” Chai said while carrying Kayla upstairs. “Ready to go girls?”I asked as I grabbed my keys,phone,and wallet. They nodded their heads and got in Chai’s car while I got in mine. They followed me to the shoot. Once we arrived we walked over to the others.
“Hey boo Jr.”Louis said when he saw Chai. She gave him a hug.
“Hey guys.Is Lou here?”I asked.Liam nodded his head.
“I’m going to drop Kayla off with her so she can play with Lux.”I said while walking away. When I came back everyone was sitting down and on their phones. I whispered in her ear. She agreed and stood up.
“Hey guys. I need all of your opinions.” She said with the sad look coming over her face again. We all nodded our heads and waited for her to continue.
“So you all know Kayla.Well first she is coming to America with us! But when I was on the phone with her mum she asked me if I would adopt Kayla when we come back.” Chai said looking at all of our faces. We were all shell shocked. Kaitlin was the first to speak.
“Why would she ask you to do that?” She asked.
“Well she is dying of cancer.Kayla knows that but she doesn’t really understand.” Chai said starting to tear up.
“What do you think you should do?”Liam asked her.
“I think I should adopt her but I can’t afford to take care of her,and I don’t know how to be a mum.” Chai replied looking down and shaking her head.
“I’ll help you.”I said stepping up next to Chai and wrapping my arms around her and pulling her in a hug.
“We’ll all help you.” Louis said. Chai turned and looked at everyone else who nodded their head in agreement.
“Also are you crazy? You’ve been acting like a mum the whole time you have had Kayla.”Gemma said coming to give Chai a hug. We all nodded our heads agreeing with Gem.
“Thanks guys.I don’t know what I would do without you.” Chai said wiping away her tears.
“So are you going to say yes?” Zayn asked her.She thought about it for a minute then smiled.
“Yes I am. Please don’t tell her? We plan on telling her once we get back.” Chaianne asked us. We all nodded our head in understandment. Just then Kayla ran down the hallway and hid behind Chai’s leg laughing.
“What are you doing silly goose?” Chai asked bending down and picking her up. A couple seconds Lux came running to me.
“Hawwy up?” She asked me holding her arms up. I of course picked her up.A minute later Lou came running down the hallway.
“Oh hi guys.”Lou said once she reached us. I introduced Chai to Lou they hugged and exchanged numbers.
“Ok guys we really need to start shooting.” The director told us. We nodded our heads. I gave Lux to Gem since Lou had to come do our hair. Then I went and gave Chai a kiss.
“Ewww” Kayla said giggling from her spot in Chai’s arms. I tickled her which caused her to squirm in Chai’s arms then I ran onto the set. When the music started I saw Chai dancing with Kayla out the corner of my eye. I wanted to laugh but I kept a straight face. Soon the other girls joined in. By the end of the shoot I couldn’t control my laughter and neither could the lads. Once we were done shooting for the day we all went back to Chai’s house. Everyone just spent the night.
Chaianne’s P.O.V
It’s been a week since I decided that I would adopt Kayla.We already had the paper work started so by the time we get back I would be her legal guardian. Today I have been packing both mine and Kayla’s bags for tomorrow since we are leaving for America. Harry and I both agreed that he would just move into my house with me now since I have Kayla and they wouldn’t have room for her in their house. My phone started to ring it was Pressly.
“Hey Chai.Louis and I were wondering if we could come over.”Pressly said after I picked up the phone.
“Of course!See you in a few.”I replied. After we said goodbye I threw my phone back on my bed. 5 minutes later the doorbell rang.
“Babe can you get the door?” I shouted to Harry.
“Yea” He shouted back up to me. Soon I heard footsteps coming up stairs. Kayla walked into my room followed by Pressly.
“Hey Pres.”I said while deciding on only 3 pairs of my glasses to pack. Kayla jumped on my bed.
“Hey Chai. You’re still packing?” She asked me. I nodded my head while turning on the T.V. and turning to Arthur for Kayla.
“Yup. I’m so excited!” I replied. She agreed. She helped me finish packing my suitcases so I could get started on Kayla’s. I took Kayla shopping for new clothes for us both yesterday. I finally finished packing.
“Done.” I sighed falling backwards on my bed next to Kayla making her giggle.
“You think that’s funny?”I asked tickling her side. I finally stopped and let her catch her breath.
“I’m hungry.” Kayla whined. Until she said that I didn’t notice how hungry I actually was.
“Why don’t you go ask Harry and Uncle Louis what they are making for dinner?”I said placing her on the ground.She calls the girls and guys her aunt and uncles.We don’t want to confuse her later so we don’t let her call Harry and I her aunt and uncle.She ran out of the room and down the stairs.
“So does she know yet?”Pres asked me.I shook my head no. I walked over to Kayla’s closet and set her pajamas out for tonight since we all have to go to bed early tonight. Pres and I walk downstairs to the kitchen to find Harry and Louis looking for something to cook while Kayla is sitting at the table coloring.
“Need help guys?”I asked walking over to one of my recipe books and picking one out for them.
“Get out of my kitchen woman!We are making tacos!”Harry said causing Kayla to laugh.
“Well I don’t have taco stuff so you’re going to have to go to the store.”I told them. They grabbed their sweatshirts,phones,wallets,and beanies then got in Harry’s car and drove off. They soon came back with the ingredients and began cooking. They were done in 10 minutes. They even set the table while Kayla,Pres,and I watched T.V.
“Girls dinner!”Louis shouted. Kayla jumped off the couch and ran to her seat that was between Harry and I. Once we finished dinner Pessly and I gave Kayla a bath then changed her into the pajamas I laid out earlier.
“Night Kaylabug.”I said tucking her in then kissing her forehead.
“Night.” She whispered before closing her eyes. I turned off her light and closed her door then went down stairs to where Pressly,Louis,and Harry were sitting on the couches.
“Do you guys just want to go grab your suitcases and pajamas for tonight and bring them over here and spend the night tonight?” Harry asked them.
“Yea I’ll go get them.”Louis said standing up and giving Pres a kiss before leaving to get their bags and pajamas.
“I’m going to go take a shower. I’ll be right back.”Harry said kissing the top of my head. Once he was gone it was just Pressly and I watching T.V.
“So is Harry going to adopt Kayla also?” Pres asked out of the blue.
“Umm Well I want him to but then I don’t.” I replied frowning.
“I don’t get it”Pre replied with a confused look on her face.
“Well I do because then it’s like we are a real family but I don’t because we aren’t married and everything is still uncertain.”I replied. She nodded her head.
“Have you talked about it with Harry?” she asked me. I nodded my head yes.
“Yea we have and he understands how I feel and he also agrees with me.”I said.
“Ok.” Was all she said turning her attention back to the TV. When Louis came back was the same time Harry finished his shower.
“I’m going to take my shower.”I said standing up and walking upstairs. Before I went to my room I check on Kayla. I opened her door open just a crack and saw that she was still asleep and closed it. I walked into my room picked out my pajamas and then got in the shower.When I was done I put my pajamas on and put my hair in a messy bun then went back down stairs to where a freshly showered Louis and Pressly were.I’m guessing they used the guest showers in my other two guest rooms that didn’t have Kayla in it.
“So movie?”Harry asked as I sat down next to him and cuddled into his side.
“Toy Story?” I asked.They all nodded their heads in agreement. I could feel my body wanting to drift off to sleep but I wouldn’t let it.I guess Harry could tell because he whispered,”Go to sleep you’ll need it since we have to be up early tomorrow.”,in my ear.
