Fashion Prodigy
Piper’s POV
“Do you really want to fly me all the way out there for three days?” I asked for like the millionth time on the phone.
“Yes Piper,” Liam chuckled at me, “How come you’re finding this so hard to believe?”
“I don’t know because famous people don’t like me except you,” I teased as I finished up my final piece for my collection for my design class, “Ah! I’m finished!”
“You finished your last piece send me a picture!” Liam said and I just laughed.
I took a quick picture and sent a picture of my finished ball gown. It took me three weeks to get this one done.
“Okay you should get it soon,” I said into the phone, “I just sent the picture.”
“I’ll let you know when I get it,” he said and then he switched the conversation back to the topic before, “Please let me fly you out to Germany. I want to see you in person again Piper.”
“I don’t know Liam,” I said, “I have a bunch of other exams to study for that week. Plus it’s the week right before the formal they have on campus for fashion majors. I haven’t even thought of a dress I’m going to make!”
“What about the one you just made,” Liam chuckled and I just rolled my eyes.
“Boys never understand fashion at all,” I said, “You’re lucky Lou is your stylist or you’d being wearing shorts and black dress socks.”
“Don’t make fun of my dress choices,” Liam said causing me to laugh.
Liam did have a funny bone in his body but he tended to use it with his friends and people be cares about.
“Please Piper,” he said, “I’ll even escort you to your formal thingy.”
“Liam you’re not making this easier,” I groaned.
“Please,” he begged and then asked in an American valley girl accent, “You’d be like the bestest person ever!”
“One you’re not allowed to speak in an American accent,” I said, “And I am not a valley girl. I'm a southern lady.”
Liam just laughed and I groaned.
“Fine,” I said, “But your ass is helping me study all weekend.”
“Okay,” he said, “You’re the best.”
“I know I’m awesome,” I grinned, “That’s why you like me!”
Liam just laughed and I just smiled. We said our normal goodbyes and I then plopped down on my stool in the sewing room and I sighed. What did I get myself into?
“So who is this famous boy you were just talking to?” Jackie, the girl who was like my mentor, asked me walking in.
“I don’t know if I’m even allowed to say,” I said, “but I just promised him I’d go see him in Germany in a couple of weeks. Am I crazy?”
“Not at all love,” the girl smiled at me, “You look like a girl who’s head over heels for this guy. Can I please know his name?”
“You know I trust you but I want to make sure that he’s okay with me telling you first,” I said, “He’s kind of sensitive like that.”
“Alright girlfriend,” she said and then she smiled at me, “You’re a prodigy Piper this dress is killer.”
“Thanks,” I said, “It took me three weeks. I hope I get a good grade on this.”
“With a design like this Piper you could get an internship no problem at any fashion house you want,” she said, “Do you keep your designs?”
“Yeah,” I said, “Professor Hemmings has a closet that I keep my things.”
“Well keep them,” she said, “You’re going to go places after this place I have no doubt.”
“Thanks Jackie,” I said smiling at her.
“No problem girlie,” she said, “but I have to go work at the pub. See you around.”
“Bye Jackie,” I said as I felt my phone vibrate.
You’re bloody brilliant beautiful. Love the dress. I think you should wear it to your formal for fashion majors. xLiam
I smiled at his text and sent a quick reply.

Today turned out pretty well. I promised hopefully, my future boyfriend I would see him in a couple of weeks and I was called a fashion prodigy and I was turning twenty in less than a month. Things couldn’t get better for me.
