When I wake up Amanda is clutching onto me. Her hands ball my shirt up into fists. Her whole body is sweating and she is crying in her sleep. "Amanda, wake up" I lightly shake her. "Liam, please don't leave me" she mumbles to herself. My eyes wander across her face. Amanda has been through living hell, she has been pregnant three times.
What did that monster do to her?
Hey eyes snap open and she stares at me confused. "Are you okay, love?" I ask. "Yeah, I'm fine" she nods and gets out of bed. I follow her into the kitchen and watch her climb onto the counter and take two bowls from the highest shelf. My hands place themselves on her waist to help her get down. "I only have cereal, if that's okay" she blushes noticing how close our faces were.. "That's fine" I smile. "Amanda,there is a carnival today and I was thinking maybe we could go."
"I would love to!" She exclaims jumping up and down. "We can go after we eat" I stop her from running out of the kitchen. "Right!" She blushes again. We eat quickly and then she hurries into her room to change. I take my duffel bag into the bathroom and look for my jeans and v-neck. Once I put them on I get my brush and gel my hair until I'm satisfied with the quiff on my brown hair.
"Are you ready?" Amanda asks, standing right in front of the bathroom door. I nod and chuckle to myself. She is wearing a flowery dress with a vest type of jacket. "You look nice" I stammer. "So do you." The pink color rises on her cheeks again. I hold my hand out for her and she gladly accepts it. We walk down to my car and I open the door for her. She hits her head while getting in and she yelps in pain. "Oh my god, are you okay?" I ask. "I'm fine" Amanda rubs her head. "Hear let me see." My hand rubs her head and she watches me sooths her pain. "Thanks" she mumbles quietly. Once I get in the drivers seat I turn the radio on. "This was my favorite song! Turn it up please!" She starts singing along, horribly if I say so. Amanda giggles and then looks at the window, seeing all the rides come into view. I walk around to her side of the car and help her out, she laces her arm with mine. For the first half we play games and share cotton candy with each other. "Here, get on my back" I tell her after our fifth stop so she could rub her sore feet. "Liam, I'm fine" she smiles. I bend down and she sighs dramatically, "fine since you forced me." She jumps on and wraps her arms around my neck. Her warm breath trails down my neck, causing goosebumps to form on my skin. "They are doing fireworks soon" I point out. "Can we go watch them?" She asks into my ear. "Yes we can" I start running towards the crowd of people. The shrill of Amanda's laugh fills my ears. It starts to get darker out and Amanda hops off my back. She stands in front of me, with her back pressed against my chest. It feels right, being with her. Seeing her smile makes me so happy, knowing that she hasn't in so long. I make a brave move and put my hands on her waist and lean my head on her shoulder. She sways her hips side to side to the faint music playing. The first firework is sent into the air and the lights shine onto her face. Her eyes glisten and her lips form into another smile. "I had a great day" I whisper into her ear. "Me too" she turns her head to the side and for the second time today our faces are inches apart. I lean in and she does the same. Our lips are captured into a perfect kiss, shot and sweet. She pulls away biting her lip. Her body turns around so our chests are pressed against each other. She tilts her head up and kisses me. I place my hands on her waist and rub it up and down. Amanda smiles into the kiss and then rests her head onto my chest. "Amazing" I whisper. She grips onto my chest, as if she was afraid to let me go.
