Broken
Chapter ten:
I lay awake while Liam sleeps next to me. His chest rising and falling evenly with his breathing. My fingers itch to reach out and trace his lips. But I force my myself not to wake him from his slumber. Thoughts fills my head of the previous two years. It seems like he knew that when and if I got out he would always haunt me.
The doorbell rings repeatedly and Liam stirs in his sleep. "Shhh babe" I kiss his forehead and run to the front door. I look out the peep hole and see my mum grinning like an idiot. She lets herself in once the door opens. "Mum, be quiet, Liam's sleeping still" I say walking into the kitchen. "Still? It's eleven o'clock?" She leans against the counter. I jump onto the counter and get the coffee mix that Liam put at the top shelf. He claims that the caffeine is bad for me and makes me too hyper. "Well he didn't get any sleep last night because of me."
"What?" She exclaims. "Not like that mum!" I smack the counter. "Sorry... why was he awake?" She composes herself. "I had horrible nightmares last night and keep hitting him... I even was sleepwalking and cut him with a knife!" I fill the coffee pot with water and place it on the stove.
All she does is sigh. "And what would it matter if Liam and I did have sex? It's not like I'm a virgin anymore..." I mumble. "Sweetie" Her arms pull me into a hug and I breathe in her sent. "I think your water's done" she sniffles and pulls away from me. I wipe my eyes and turn the stove off and pour it into my favorite mug, that Liam got me. My spoon heats up as I mix the coffee. I make my mum a cup and we go into the living room. "How is he?" My mum asks. "I love him." "Aw my baby loves someone!" My mum squeals. "Shut up" I blush darkly.
~two hours later~
Liam walks out with no shirt on and his sweatpants hanging low on his waist. He rubs his eyes and they focus on my mum. "Oh! Hello Maria, how are you?" Liam shakes her hand. "Good... I just came to see how you guys were" She smiles. Liam sits next to me and puts his arms around me. "You guys are so cute... well I have to go now. Rebecca has a date" She sighs and gets up. "Shut up, she does not!" I exclaim, bouncing in Liam's arms. "His name is Nick... he seems nice, but if he hurts her Jason is going to kill him." Her laughs makes me laugh. "I will too if he does" Liam speaks up. "I'm sure you and Jason will take turns" My mum grabs her bag. "Thanks for stopping bye" I hug her and Liam also hugs her. "Be safe you too... oh- Amanda" She leans in and whispers in my ear "If you and Liam do... do it, call me. I want to know everything." She runs out before I can say anything.
"Do you want coffee, babe?" I ask. "Yes please" His eyes shut and he covers his mouth
as he lets out a long yawn. I giggle at how cute he looked and go into the kitchen again the boil the water. "Can I have tea?" Liam follows me. "Yes, can you get it for me?" I cross my arms over my chest and lean against the counter. He gets the tea from the top shelf easily and hands it to me. Not before making me kiss him. "Why do you put all my caffeine on the top shelf?" I ask taking out a tea bag. "Because when it was on a shelf you could reach you drank it at ten at night and was up until two in the morning" Liam tells me.
"You're annoying" is all I can think of saying. "But you love me" He kisses my cheek and slowly kisses down my neck before nuzzling his head in the crook between my shoulder and neck. "You're so beautiful" Liam starts kissing my neck again. "That tickles" I giggle.
Then Liam uses his fingers to make me laugh and gasp for hair. My pleads for him to stop go ignored, so I fall to the ground and Liam's head falls back. He holds his hands out and helps me up.
"I love you" I wrap my arms around his waist. "Oh, the water is ready" Liam says. I release myself from him and put the tea bag in the mug. "So what were you saying?" Liam holds my hands. "I was saying that you are very mean for putting my caffeine on the top shelf" I smile and he cups my face. "You were saying how much you love me and how much you love my muscles" He smiles big. "Liam, you cheeky bastard." He squeezes my cheeks "You look so adorable my little princess" He kisses my squished lips. He takes his tea and has a long sip.
"Oh I almost forgot! I have to go home tomorrow for a family dinner this weakened, but my parents said to invite you, not like I wasn't anyways" Liam smiles and bites his lip. "I'd love to."
