"And, I really hate to be the one to tell you this, but I think he's still with her."
My stomach dropped. I couldn't think straight, but this couldn't be possible. Harry had never slipped and hinted he'd been cheating. But, then again, he never slipped about anything.
"A-Are you sure?" I stuttered.
"Yeah. The first day I came to his apartment, I heard a girl's voice. Unless that was you?" I was in complete shock.
"No, it wasn't me. I, I can't believe this."
Jessica moved over and put her arm around me.
"I'm so sorry." Jessica whispered.
I felt a few tears fall, and land on my legs. How could he? He said he loved me, and I believed him. I was such a fool.
Jessica's head ripped around, as did mine, as the front door flew open. Harry sprinted inside, and stopped in front of Jess and I.
"What did she say to you?" He asked. His voice was deep, and his expression was filled with worry. "What did she say!" He yelled again, when I stayed silent.
"What do you mean? I only told her the truth." Jessica spoke, picking at her nails.
"Jess, get out of here. You had no right to come here!"
Finally, I spoke up. "No, Harry. You leave too."
"What?"
"You heard me. Both of you, leave!" I said, standing up. I felt bolder considering I just had my heart broken.
"No, Meadow, please! Let me explain!" His eyes were wide, and he tried to grab my hand, but I jerked it away.
"I said, get OUT!" I screamed in his face. He looked defeated, and turned around to leave.

As he walked out, Jessica got up and said, "If you need anything, I'll be in America for two more days." And finally, I was alone.
I ran up to my room, and slid the door shut.
What just happened?

I rested my head on my pillow, looking at the pictures on my ceiling. Thoughts ran through my head, and I tried answering all the questions I had. My phone was going off repeatedly, texts from Harry. I leaned over and shut it off, not wanting any distractions from the boy I trusted.

How could Harry have lied to me?

Who was the mystery girl that Harry was supposedly dating?

How did I trust him so easily, only to have my feelings shattered?

Can you hear that? That's the sound of my heart cracking and breaking into millions of pieces.
Apparently, I had fallen asleep for an hour or so, because I had just now been awoken by my mother.

"Get up, Meadow!"

"Wha-?"

"There is someone on the phone for you."
And after throwing me the landline, she left. I immediately assumed it was Harry.

"Hello." I said, I was NOT in a mood to be talking to him, of all people.

"Hello, is this Miss Meadow Aster?" That wasn't Harry...

"Yes...? Can I help you?"

"This is Officer Halder, I'm calling from the Panama City Police Department. We've been informed that you were involved in a large act of vandalism performed on the Old City Hall. Is this true?"

Oh my god, so they had found out.

"Umm, yeah, but I didn't know it was th-" He cut me off before I could finish.

"Well, there is a price to pay for a disgrace like this. You'll need to come in to our office tomorrow morning at eight to discuss your punishment. Good day."

Oh shit. I had to text Emily and see if they had called her yet.

When I turned my phone back on, I saw tons of texts and missed calls from Harry, but I ignore them. I'm not ready to talk to him yet.

Me: Hey. just got a call from the fuzz...

Emily: omg! ur serious?!

Me: yeah, they know bout the graffiti and want me to come in for my 'punishment' .__.

Emily: but it's not ur fault! i dragged you into it!

Me: It's ok! it can't be too bad.

Emily: Well, how about you meet me at Taco Bell, I'll buy u lunch. b there in 15

Me: okk

I knew I had to tell someone about what happened earlier with Jess and Harry, so it might as well be my best friend.

Once I walked through the doors of Taco Bell, I immediately spotted Emily. Her hair was brown, today. She has a strange obsession with trying new hair colors. She once died it purple.

"Hey! I got you the usual." Emily said brightly.

I wasn't in the mood to eat, but I sat down with her anyway.

I told her about the call while we ate, and she pressed me for details. She offered to help, but it wasn't entirely her fault.

When we finished, we walked outside and sat on a bench.

"Emily, I gotta confide in you on this." She looked at me concerned.
"This girl came to my house yesterday, and she talked to me. She said her name was Jessica, and that she dated Harry for four years."
"And...?" She pressed me.

"Well, she told me stories. Stories about Harry. He's done horrible things, Em. He tricked girls into thinking he loved them, and then he left without another word. Also, I think he may have been.. cheating on me with a different girl. One he really loves." I was trying hard not to look weak infront of Emily, but my shoulders were slouched, and I couldn't look her in the eyes. I felt her arm rest around my shoulders, pulling me into a tight hug.

"Don't you worry, Meadow. He's not worth it. You deserve much better than him anyway." She whispered, trying to sooth me. But her words had the opposite effect. I didn't believe her. I didn't think there was another guy, or if there ever would be. I know it's crazy but, I imagined a future with him. I was desperately in love with someone who didn't love me back. And, oh, did that hurt.

***HARRY'S POV***

Anger. The only emotion I felt. I hated Jessica, despised her for turning my beautiful Meadow against me. She's so pure, so innocent. I didn't know what exactly Jessica had told her, but it was enough to make her hate me. After I realized what had happened, I had driven myself home, and sat on my bed with my head in my hands for the rest of the day.
I wasn't sure what time it was, but it was dark. I'll never sleep again if I don't have my Meadow back.
