Big thank you to all readers and writers on this site! I am constantly impressed with the writing and storytelling from women of all ages and from all around the world. Pretty amazing thing we all have in common, these boys.
Today I am reaching out with a “wanted” ad for any readers and writers who could offer some time to answer some questions for me. I am a senior undergrad writing her thesis on fanfiction and fandom studies. I’m focused on female online writing- how women get involved with writing online, what inspires their writing, and how all of us fellow readers and writers influence each other through comments, messaging, and other forms of interaction. I’ve already done work on 1D fanfiction tropes, plot lines, and character themes I see with the boys (which you can find here if interested!), but now I want to focus more on what inspires you- the ladies behind these stories.
If you are a writer, I would love to ask you a few questions about your writing and interaction with your readers. If you are a reader, I would have some questions regarding how much time you spend online, how you choose the stories you read, and how you talk with other readers and writers. I know a lot of you are readers and writers, so I may have a quite a few questions if you have the time :)
Please message me or reply to this post if you would be willing to share some of your insights and online reading and writing habits!
